We run currently 2 gymnastics clubs which take place on a Tuesday and Thursday. Both clubs are the same and run by the same coaches. We have put together our own coaching programme which ensures we cover all areas of gymnastics every half term. We have a focus each week which we work on with the children and then they are given opportunities to put it in to practice in their own time at the session. If we are not working all together children are sometimes split up and work in smaller groups with coaches looking at specific techniques or working on their current level.
This club is extremely popular and sells out very fast. If you would like to be added to the waiting list please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will let you know when spaces are available
At both clubs children take part in "levels". These were designed by BPS Sports and are used to give the children something to work on each half term at gymnastics club. It is also a an excellent tool for the coaches to assess how children are progressing and what things they may need to work on. They start at level 1 and increase in difficulty. Each level has a different focus ranging from basic skills to routines. The children learn their level and are then tested by the coaches when they feel they are ready. If they pass they are then moved on to the next level. If they fail they are given feedback and things to work on. They can then re-take the test whenever they feel they are ready. We tailor the levels to the different age groups so that they are achievable to everyone who attends gymnastics club. You can see all of the children who have passed with their certificates on the Gym Levels page.
