BPS Sports News
BPS Clubs 17/18
Begin - 09/09/17
Football club is back on 09/09/17 for 7 weeks to take us up to October half term. We have been working hard or our coaching programme aimed at given this children the best possible football education. It involves teaching children all aspects of football whilst trying to give them as many touches of a football as possible. All of our coaches work towards our philosophy and ensure the children get the highest standard of coaching.
Football has 2 separate groups - Foundation and KS1 10am - 11am & KS2 11.15am - 12.15pm.
Tuesdays & Thursday
Begin week commencing - 18/09/17
We are now running 2 gymnastics Clubs. Gymnastics Club will run on a Tuesday 5pm - 6pm and Thursdays 5pm - 5.45pm. Both clubs follow the same guidance aimed at giving children a rounded gymnastics education though they are taught in different ways. On Tuesdays children learn specific skills and techniques aimed at them completing their "levels". These are given in the form of certificates when children complete a set test or routine over a period of a half term. You can see the photos on the Gym levels page. On Thursdays children cover the same range of techniques and skills but as the sessions is slightly shorter it is taught in a slightly different way.
Summer Holiday Sports Camp
This summer we had Sports Camp, Football Camp & Gymnastics Camp available. They were all a huge success and everyday we offered was sold out. Children took part in over 50 different sports and big competitions such as BPS Sports day and a Foot Golf competition.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and to our amazing team of coaches and volunteers who make the camp as successful as it is. We have put some videos on our Facebook page to show you exactly what the children get up to at camp. We will be back in October so keep an eye out for our flyers.
Football Club - Bring A Friend
This Saturday at football club everyone booked on was able to bring a friend or sibling along to the session for free. It was a brilliant morning with so many children trying football club for the first time. We loved seeing all the new smiling faces and hope to see them back again soon. We had over 80 children across 2 sessions taking part in a range of activities and matches. To see photos from the session look at our Facebook page or the gallery on the website.
At BPS Sports we have 4 young leaders; Charlotte, Isobel, Harrison and Amrita. They help us out at our Sports Camps by working with the coaches and the children. They will help the children to take part in the sports and games, help them during lunches and break time and just play with them. They also work with our coaches gaining experience in leading sessions and helping them to set up sports for the children. They are a vital asset to BPS Sports and they greatly enhance the experience of the children attending our camps as well as making the coaches lives much easier.
